Even
though they now call Boston, MA their home, The Everyday Visuals
have been making noise wherever they go. This quintet, with
roots in the indie-rock vein, mix waves of noisy rock experimentation
and alt-country flair. (Think Wilco meets Sonic Youth) Add
to that harmonies that call to mind The Beach Boys, and a
penchant for electronic beats reminiscent of Bjork, and you've
begun to get a picture of The Everyday Visuals.
Originally from New Hampshire, The Everyday Visuals were named
"Best Band in New Hampshire" by 92.5 the River, and their
record "Media Crush" was named the "Best Record of 2005" by
local magazine The Hippo Press. Riding the wave of momentum,
The Everyday Visuals moved to Boston where the accolades kept
coming. They were named "Best New Band of 2006" by The Noise
and their record "Media Crush" was praised by audiences and
critics alike; making many of the year's best lists including
The Boston Metro, whom called the record "One of the top local
releases of the year". Whether it is playing across the county
on their hugely successful national tour this past summer,
playing a sold out show at the legendary Paradise Rock Club,
or sharing the stage with bands such Matt Pond PA or Autumn
Defense (feat. members of Wilco), with all the accolades and
experience this young band has on their resume, it's easy
to see why The Everyday Visuals are a band to watch.
